Update to help those newly diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's

My wife knows someone whose husband was recently diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s and she asked me to send her some info. I sent her my blog address and told her she may want to start at the first post though by reading through to the end and then Click on the “Older Posts” link which goes to
or she can start at the first blog post by clicking on the above link and upon finishing all of that (it could take some days) she can then click on “Newer Posts” link button to read the latest posts.

One more book she should read that I got from a forum is http://www.amazon.com/Im-Still-Here-Philosophy-Alzheimers/dp/1583333762  and this was mentioned in post at
This book can be checked out at most library networks (there are several copies available through Minute Man Library network) https://syndetics.com/index.aspx?isbn=9781583333761/summary.html&client=minuteman&type=rn12&issn#summary

The forum for caregivers and those with ALZ is at https://www.alzconnected.org/ and she can read caregivers and he can read the one with younger onset Alzheimer

Another link with more reading material is http://www.alzheimersreadingroom.com
Lots of info here

An alzconnected posting also pointed me to an interesting blog by Kate Swaffer http://kateswaffer.com/2015/08/17/slowing-the-progression-of-dementia/ which I didn't send her. I hope she reads this sometime later but she has so much to read.

After starting to read my blog and scheduled an appt with a bio-dentist for her husband she had more questions so I sent her the following info to answer some of her questions. I guess my blog has a lot of blind spots since most of the info is in the books. Since it take months to read all the books and people want to get going quickly this info may help.

One thing Huggins recommends, and Groton Wellness follows, is do a blood test prior to having any amalgams removed to determine what each patient is sensitive to regarding personal reactive allergies.  http://www.ccrlab.com is the lab Groton Wellness used and their phlebotomist was able to draw blood there and send to the lab.  You might also be able to see your own primary care doctor and provide the kit provided by Clifford and have them draw your blood and have them send it out to Clifford.  The purpose of the test is to ensure that the composites for fillings, crowns and cement used are compatible with the patient’s blood chemistry (no allergic or toxic reactions) instead of replacing one and see how he does.  If the patient is reactive to the composite used it could be almost as bad as the mercury.  There are about 4000 dental products used by dentists and Clifford will see if the ones normally used by the dentist is compatible and list alternative materials compatible with the patient.

A blood test can also determine what minerals your body needs as what Huggins Assist report provided.  Alternatively, a good person we used using EAV could do something similar.  A practitioner at Groton and NH, Vera Sacks http://verasacks.com/personalized-healing-system or http://www.grotonwellness.com/dental/practitioners/vera-saks-eav-practitioner may be able to help.  It might be cheaper to go to her office in NH since most health plans won’t cover it.

If your husband is going to get a blood draw, he should consider QuickSilver Scientifiic’s Tri-Test https://www.quicksilverscientific.com to determine how his mercury levels are currently before amalgam removals.  Huggins recommends another check 6 months after amalgam removal to determine the detox effectiveness following treatment.

Natural detox such as FAR infrared sauna does not require approval by a primary care doctor.  Groton Wellness has a sauna but we purchased a Clearlight Organic Hemp Curve dome one ourselves since we will both be using it many times.  We got ours at http://holisticsaunas.com which has the best info and prices I could find.  You can spend lots of time reading and learning about sauna’s from here and the best way to use the sauna for detox. There are no adverse effects when doing sauna at low FAR sauna temps.

The detox process can take a year or more but after removal at least your husband won’t have constantly taking in 150 mcg of mercury per filling to make his symptoms worse.  FAR sauna is usually also complemented with vitamin C and Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) and other holistic detox methods. Groton also provides IV's of vitamin C and ALA.  Other chemical detox is possible with primary care doctor supervision but Huggins and others don’t often recommend it since the liver, kidney’s and other systems may already be overwhelmed from years of trying to remove mercury and a large influx of mercury from chem detox may overwhelm the organs with more mercury than it can handle and cause mercury to vacate one organ for another which will cause adverse effects.

I would recommend reading Huggin’s “It’s All In Your Head” and the Tom Warren’s “Beating Alzheimer’s” ASAP and reading some of those other books since they go over diet and detox which is part of the protocol.

Latest Updates including blood and hair test results

I've been taking my detox stuff for my kidneys, lypmth etc, exercising, doing my Brain Age 2 training, playing piano, trying to learn some Mandarin, meditating and reading (Ruby programming and Sci Fi pleasure reading). Other than the reading activity, which is longer, these activities are only 15 to 30 minute activities. So around noon I did my Brain Age 2 Brain Age Check and came up with an age of 59. Some things were just slow for me and it was still the optimal time of day. Usually, after 4 pm my mind slows down noticeably.

Groton Wellness sent me my results today from Quicksilver Scientific  https://www.quicksilverscientific.com on my blood, urine and hair results on my mercury levels. I didn't use the same company to do blood and hair analysis before the amalgam removal procedures since I used Huggins Assist report and they didn't focus so much on the mercury in the blood since they wanted to know what else my blood told them. This test focused just on the mercury. The blood's inorganic levels were very low but the Methylmercury was still in the slightly elevated range giving me a total mercury level still 75% higher than the CDC average. The mercury levels in the hair indicated I still was having trouble metabolizing the mercury though that only corroborates what Vera and Irina indicated in their tests. I was hoping that with all the detox I was doing that it would have been better, but I guess like the Huggins program indicated, it could be a slow two year process to detox to be safe so I don't overwhelm my kidneys, liver and lymph glands. Also, Irina said I am now just up to 300 mg ALA IV and her other patients have already progressed to IVs in the 1000 mg level. Alpha-lipoic Acid (ALA) is the main way to increase total glutathione levels in the body so that the body can perform its own toxin (mercury) removal. I will go over the results with Irina next month when I see her.

Hopefully with more detox and continually trying to learn new stuff I can get my brain speed back to where I can score an age in the 40's in Brain Age 2 where I was a few years ago.

Update on Journey to Beating Alzheimer's 10_20_15

I had an appointment with Irina about a week ago and I wanted to post the plan she came up with for me specific to my case and current conditions with the additional parasite and other ongoing maladies. Any diagnosed with dementia should note that parasites also could also be a contributing factor in dementia. Thats why I am supposed to do the Gubarev protocol. http://www.extremehealthradio.com/ep-203-professor-alex-volinsky-how-he-used-special-enemas-to-extract-parasitic-rope-worms-lose-over-80-pounds-in-the-process-2-12-2014/

I added some links to the July 4 Log entry on some of the supplements used to help with the cognitive issues and a couple more links on using cilantro and chlorella for detox. I was already using the bentonite clay but I may want to try adding cilantro before the bentonite when I resume to metal detox.

Plan:
Anti-oxidant support:
ALA IV 300 mg today at 2 PM
Vitamin C powder alternate with Liposomal
Glutathione, liposomal form

Update 10_6_15 on my Journey to Beating Alzheimer's

I took the Kombucha tea for a little over two weeks until my health care EAV specialist, Vera Sacks said I shouldn't since I am already doing a detox regimen. During that time I felt pretty strong and I did gain back some weight up to 141 lbs which I had been trying to do for months. As for side effects, I did have a lot more gas than usual. I will give the last batch to my sister in law since she likes it.

At my last EAV appointment on 9/30/15 with Vera Sacks, she did find that I had a set back. I seem to have gotten another parasitic infection over the summer. Maybe it was all that lake fishing by the shore or canoe. Anyways I have to do more of that Soluna medicines and other homeopathy stuff again before getting back to the metal detox stuff. I was still doing some of Irina's mercury detox stuff too and I took another blood sample that day along with hair and urine samples to determine how well my detox is going. I will get the results when I see Irina Serebryakova again Oct 13.

I did the Alzheimer's Assoc walk Oct 3, 2015 in Foxborough, MA and our Chin Dynasty team raised $11,661.00 of which I raised $1,380.00. I want to thank all of those who helped us to raise those funds with special thanks to my wife who raised an amazing $6,676.00 by herself and the rest of the team members who raised and or walked. The 2.5 mile walk wasn't tiring at all this year, just a little cold and wet due to the wind and rain.

Cognitively, I have slowed down a bit. I did a Brain Age 2 test and it gave me a brain age of 62. I had not been training at all with the program and while doing some of the training exercises it showed some horrible times, walking speed for most of them. I could compare to some of my previous times to complete the exercises and it was disheartening. After that, I decided to start doing a regimen. I put my physical exercises into my calendar along with Brain Age 2 training, piano playing/singing, Mandarin language learning, pleasure reading and time to read a computer book. They say we need to do new things so this stuff is mostly new stuff. The piano/singing I use just the music from the Sunday missal or free vocal songs. It is just the melody right hand because doing both hands and trying to sing was way too hard. I used my calendar app for a couple days to keep track of the regimen but it made it hard to see if I had any openings for doctor/dentist appointments so I moved these things to my reminder app which also has my medicine reminders which are several times a day. Hopefully, I will get my mind sharper and younger again.

I added a couple more links to my log entry in my blog. Some good stuff from Dr. Boyd Haley, PhD on mercury toxicity and neurological diseases. If you are new to the blog, you definitely need to spend the time clicking on the links to watch or read about the information which backs up some of what I have tried to summarize and use for my own use. It may take a long time to go through it all but if you or a loved one has been diagnosed with some type of dementia, ALS, lupus or other neurological disease it is worth reading since the pharma trained doctors will not tell you about any of this.

You will see Dr. Boyd's links near one of these other new links http://customers.hbci.com/~wenonah/hydro/amalgam.htm
