Its been a while so I should add an update on my health status. Cognitively I am still doing well. Every night I do the mini crosswords with my wife from the NY Times, Strands and Connections games and at the Boston Globe I do the mini crosswords and Align games.
Health wise I am having heart issues which is why I am making this update. I have had Atrial Fibrillation issues for about 14 years and I have been taking medicines for it for several years. My allergist's nurse and my acupuncturist noticed an issue with my pulse back then before I had my Alzheimer's diagnosis. When I saw my primary several years back and had him check my heart he noticed it and also determined I had mitral valve prolapse. Both these issues may have been caused by the mercury from my amalgam fillings. But in March I started having congestive heart failure meaning the prolapse was getting more severe which meant surgery. After more tests it turns out I also have 4 blocked arteries so I need open heart surgery in July.
One of the things I used to take before when I was doing things to improve my cognitive functions was to use coconut oil in the hopes that the medium chain triglycerides in it would help my brain. Coconut oil is worse than butter when it comes to clogging up arteries so if you think you want to try coconut oil you may want to rethink it since it may be bad for your heart. I had stopped using coconut oil for some years now but in hind sight perhaps I should have stopped sooner. I had been taking other supplements and still do.
The biggest thing to reversing the ALZ is removal of the amalgam fillings and doing the detox protocols. The other stuff is just to keep peak cognitive levels high.
Just thought you all should know my opinion on this.
